As a children’s photographer in Houston, I get to meet some really cool people. And it’s just icing on the cake really that I get to photograph their family and get to know them even if just for an hour or so. It’s something very personal when capturing children with their parents. While I will always strive to get a few more traditional shots, as a whole, photographs from my sessions are mostly more connection kinds of images. And if it’s not a an emotional conniption capture, then it’s likely a movement or motion photo. I don’t want to offer the same ole’ images you could get with every other photographer out there. I really want to try and get images that no one else would maybe think to get for you. Such was the case with this gallery. The middle image reflects a traditional feel. Everyone looking at the camera and happy faces. The outer images though are much more ‘connection’ images. Moments between parent and child….both of which just sort of happened for the most part and I was there to catch it.
What a lovely addition these images in b&w make on a wall above a bed. These are actually just framed 12×12 photographs. So simple, yet really competes the room. Lately, I am really loving thicker mats in framed photos. What do you think?
