What’s a photo
Photos are worth a thousand words. Where did this come from? Who said it? In 1921, the writer Frederick R. Barnard said something similar; One look is worth a thousand words. Frederick stated the idea stemmed from a Chinese proverb that said one picture is worth ten thousand words. This is especially true when it comes to photographs when there is a personal connection.
Picture overload
We live in a very visual world. It’s fair to say we are swimming in imagery and content. One client just today shared she had over 22,000 photos on her phone. Photographs are reminders of a moment that our brains would likely forget in the abyss. In the digital era we live in, it is far too easy to shortchange professional photography. The ability to take snaps and beautiful ones at that with our phones at leisure is incredible.
But there is no doubt hiring a professional photographer at least once is something you will never regret.
Who is the best TX Family Portrait Photographer
This is a great question. It depends on what kinds of photographs you love. A few questions to ask yourself: Do you prefer a more candid style of posed photos? Do you consider a great picture only those where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling? Or would you feel great photographs to have maybe everyone engaging and looking at each other? Is it the light and bright photo that grab your attention or the more dark and moody ones? The list could go on, but you get the idea.
The other important piece is which photographer personality will work well with your family. It’s much more difficult to determine without meeting the photographer in person. This is when a website and other social media are pretty helpful in guiding you. At the very least, if all the photos you see are speaking to you, it’s fair to say it will be a good fit. It’s also helpful to see families similar to yours, like two kids under two or four children, etc. Then you will know the photographer has a good experience with similar families.
Let’s hope the photos you see here speak to you! If so, please reach out and let’s set up a time to know each other more and let’s take some photos of your family!
