It can be hard to get an extended family session organized. It’s hard enough getting your family session scheduled sometimes, but then to throw in additional family members, well, it can be tough. But trust me when I tell you that it is worth every bit of effort that is put forth. I personally feel that the result of the many hours of getting everyone in one place for an hour….will be repaid ten fold once you see the images of everyone. I feel so lucky to get to be a part of extended family sessions, especially when they include grandparents and grandchildren. This day, I’m not going to lie, was bitter cold. I think it was 38 degrees when we did this session. Lucky for me, we had a lovely indoor space to do many of the pics, but this amazing crew braved the cold (in small increments-ha) in order for us to get some lovely outdoor pics too! I think they will go down in history as the bravest family….everyone outside with smiles on their faces! Most certainly it’s the coldest it has ever been for me….shooting outdoors, that is. But hey, if you are game…I’m game. I’ll even shoot a family in snow if I had the chance. Actually, that would be fantastic and super fun!
Anyway….if you are lucky enough to have your parents still here with you, I would encourage you to consider having family portraits made with them! You will not regret it!
I had so much fun with you guys! Thank you for letting me spend some time with you and photograph ya’lls amazing family!!!
