As a wife and mother, I can attest to the truth of the above quote. The love you feel for your spouse is infinitely expanded when you see him holding, loving and adoring the child you share. It is a whole different level of love that will sustain you through all the long (seemingly endless) nights, early mornings (of which there is sometimes no distinction from the nights) and everything you will experience with your baby. It is an exhausting and incredible time that will test you and bring you closer together than you could have ever imagined.
When I go into a newborn photo shoot, I think about these things and what a couple is currently experiencing as new parents. Although we arrange a date and time for the session, there is simply no telling what might have gone on the night before (or moments before) the planned time. Any number of things can derail our plans, but one thing is certain: we WILL get some amazing pictures of you with your child! When you look back at these photos, you won’t see how exhausted and overwhelmed you were. You will see how much love you and your partner had for your baby and each other. Capturing that is priceless and oh-so beautiful!
