The new year rings in and I am more excited than ever for the 2014 year. I want to create pieces of art with your family. Art that is bursting with life and emotion. I don’t want you all looking at the camera in every single photograph. Sure, we will get a few of those, but I want to give you photographs that tell a story. Photographs with me mean I want you to play and laugh with your children. I want you to act a little silly. I want you to be so relaxed and for your kids to actually have fun during our session. I’m fully letting go and want you to do the same. No stress photography sessions. I know…a really crazy concept, right? 2014 is the year I am totally letting go of all reservations and expectations and really going to just be free during our photo sessions….free to truly just fly by the seat of my pants, so to speak, in the most amazing and beautiful way and I would like you to do the same. Are you ready to be crazy with your kids and allow me to capture that? I mean, isn’t this what life is about? I mean, if we can’t really enjoy ourselves with our children, then….well, we are really missing out on the absolute, most fantastic moments of our lives. I truly believe that. And together we can create images such as this. I can’t wait to show you more images from this session, but for now….just this one that I love so very much.
This was my first outdoor family session of 2014. What a way to start the year, eh? <3 <3 <3
The color image is of course a classic, clean edit…but I thought this one also looked amazing as a black and white…with a little tint, which I very rarely do, but thought so fitting for this particular photograph. And for the b&w, I also cropped it a bit so you can really see how an images can have a totally different feel with just a simple crop and color shift. What do you think? Yep, large canvas…exactly what I was thinking. hehe
