Just another lovely day shooting some amazing little people with their mom and dad as Family Photographer Houston Texas. These guys are super special to me because they are my cousins. What’s so cool is to recall all the many summers spent with this momma and her family when we were young swimming in their pool. Such amazing memories…too many to count really. This momma’s mother, who is actually my first cousin used to make these homemade pickles. Man, oh man, those pickles. The best pickles you would ever have. We would swim for hours on end; playing mostly Marco Polo. ha! Please tell me I’m not the only one who remembers that swimming pool game. 🙂 And what about “sharks and minnows”? Do you recall that one? Let’s not forget about the never-ending handstands and seeing who could hold their breathe the longest. It wasn’t time to get out until your tippy toes had ‘strawberries’ and your fingers were wrinkled like the oldest person on the planet. Oh…those were the days for sure. I suppose I’m pretty lucky that I get to live near much of my family and extended family. We get to have our children hopefully experience even just a little bit of the joy we had knowing each other and spending time together. It’s really the most wonderful opportunity to have and share. As with all my family photo sessions, I like to have some fun. It’s common for me to have the kids and sometimes the parents being a little (or a lot) silly. There is lot of activity during sessions with me. Most of my favorite photographs are the ones where you can really see life and feel some emotion. Sure, the most emotion will be felt with photos of those who mean the most to you, but I would love for at least some of my images to really resonate with those who don’t even know the person in the photograph. What do you think? Do these images speak to you in a joyful way even though you don’t know these subjects? I sure do hope so!
