Newborn photo sessions are always precious (because all newborns are precious, of course!), but there is just something so wonderful about being there at the very first moments. By “very first moments” I mean within the first 48 hours after birth, when parents and siblings are just becoming acquainted with this perfect new little being. It’s a sacred time of initial bonding and oh-so-beautiful connections, with nursing, cuddling and all the fabulous feelings that come with a new baby. (It’s not quite as raw and intrusive as some may consider full-on “birth photography”, so it’s a nice compromise if you want very early pictures of your newborn in the hospital or birth center, but also want a little more privacy and time to “pretty yourself” up a bit 🙂 .)
This family is so sweet and you can see how taken these two gorgeous big sisters are with their new little sister, Emmeline. (Such a lovely name!) These three girls will experience so much together over the years and share a bond like they’ll have with no one else. It’s so incredible to be able to document the moments when this bond first began!
