At eight months old, babies really start having and being FUN! I mean, they’re wonderful from the get-go and always have cute things they do, but it seems like eight months is where they really start getting interested in and into EVERYTHING. (And keeping you on your toes at all times, of course!) Scooting, crawling, pulling up, standing, “furniture walking”…these are things that many babies this age start doing and can’t get enough of. They just wanna move!
Notice I said, “many babies” not “all babies”. It’s kind of funny to read the milestones that tell you the typical things that babies of a certain age are doing, then there’s always the disclaimer that “all babies are unique and do things at their own pace”. That part was usually a bit reassuring for me, as I have a son who has definitely done things at his own pace! He’s absolutely brilliant, but he has had his own developmental timeline from the beginning!
With her wide-eyed, inquisitive expressions, this beautiful eight month old certainly looks like she’s ready to get into something!
