When things are strange, new or interesting, I often think of the line from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, when Alice exclaims, “Curiouser and curiouser!” Seeing how fascinated and intrigued this adorable big sister is with her new little sister, that’s what I imagine she’s thinking. (I mean, not the actual words in her head, of course, but her feelings regarding the newness and strangeness of it all.) Not too many days before, this tiny human was just the idea of a “baby in Mamma’s tummy”; now she’s here and such a curious little being to her older sister (who’s still not much more than a baby herself). I love photographing children as they discover the world around them!
It’s so adorable to see how siblings who are so close in age bond with each other. (Of course, sibling bonding at any age is precious, but there’s just something so cute when they’re still both so young.) Mom and Dad certainly seem to be bursting with pride over their two beautiful girls! Such a sweet family! I hope to have the privilege of continuing to photograph these lovely little girls as they grow and discover all the curious and wonderful things in life!
