Ever wonder what a full family session looks like? It’s about 35-40 photos of your family in a variety of settings. The session lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. I don’t like to rush things, but am making a big effort these days to be respectful of your family’s time. I do like to ‘direct’ the session somewhat. You’ll never need to worry about what to do. I had a client recently tell me how much she enjoyed being photographed by me because she can just relax with her family (relatively speaking, as there is always at least a hint of anticipation and anxiety when getting your pic done) during the session. Part of this is because I’m just a little bit of a control freak. ha! Plus, I want you and your family to look your very best in our photographs. You look good…your family looks good…and of course, I look good…a win win for everyone, right? 😉
I strive to give my clients a mix of some more traditional style photographs where everyone is looking at the camera, but mostly I like to focus (and get the most images) of interaction…funny faces, serious faces and capturing emotion between family members.
Anyway, I have known this mom for many years. When I worked my ‘corporate’ job, she and I worked together. She likely knows more about me than she would like (worked together over 6 years) and yet still trusted me to take her families photographs this season. Brave….or maybe crazy. hehe
I had such a great time with this crew. I recall when her kids were much younger and would come to our office. Now they are like little adults now. (sniff, sniff) Time flies when you are having fun, eh?
