This is an oldie, but a goodie! Funny how photographs bring back memories…even from years ago. I photographed this family almost two years ago, yet the memory of our session radiates such joy when I am reminded of it through photos such as this that I took at the session. What good are photographs if they don’t remind you on a happy time. One moment. One silly face. One true glimpse of your child’s personality. A snapshot into your life….captured forever.
A photographers note: Just like outdoor sessions, I prefer only to utilize natural light for even indoor sessions. Sure, I could use a flash or studio lighting setup, but honestly, I feel like it restricts me when working with kids on the move. I might have to crank up the ISO or risk blowing out highlights to expose my subject without artificial fill light…but for me, the results that I get with only natural light are to me most important. Plus, I don’t like the idea of a constant flash being blasted into a child’s face and trust me when I tell you that my shutter especially during session with children is firing at the maximum at times…so most of the time, a fill flash would not be able to keep up.
