Have you considered Houston Newborn Photographs Older Baby?
As a professional photographer, our journeys are frequently full of much learning and growth. It’s certainly been the case with photographing families since 2010. In the early days of my business, I had specific ideas about clothing selection for my clients and when to photograph newborns. I’ve learned much flexibility with this.
Flexibility on Newborn Photographs
The first few years of business, my cut-off for newborn photography was around 14 days. That decision was due to the more posed baby photos offered. Over time, I decided to be brave and offer newborn sessions for older babies between 4-6 weeks old. I did not have children of my own at this time, so admittedly I was not as familiar with the youngest babies and their development.
It was quickly apparent that older newborns were something I enjoyed as much as the fresh babes under ten days old. I am so glad I continued photographing the older newborns. There are many advantages to waiting a few weeks to take family photos after the baby arrives. Just know, we can get some fantastic shots of your ‘older newborn’. Case in point this lovely Houston Newborn Photographs Older Baby.
More Options for Color in Wardrobe Selection
I have always been an advocate for clients to wear what they feel comfortable with. Even if that meant bright, colorful colors, sure, I can attest to wanting to wear more neutral colors for my family sessions. Still, then there have been other times where I wanted more bright and colorful colors incorporated. I know that we all go through seasons of life where we like certain things more than others. It is very fair to say that we would like to have more consistency in wardrobe selection over the years for some of us. However, some of us would like more diversity in each session.
There are many photographers out there who will insist on their clients wearing specific color schemes that are in line with their portfolio. Indeed, there is nothing wrong with such requirements, but I am not that (photographer). Instead, I have loved that my portfolio shows a diverse collection of color schemes and wardrobe styles.
As for the photograph shown in this particular post, you can see it is a newborn session. I would say that the vast majority of newborn sessions that I see and photograph done with more subtle or neutral color schemes. However, as you can see from these fantastic images, bright colors can be successful in even newborn pictures.
While the pop of color might not be for everyone, and I love it so much and feel that anyone considering such should see firsthand, it can be beautiful.
The moral of the story here is not to be afraid of color. Even when it comes to newborn baby photography sessions, an intense color can work well.
