Yes, each and every client that I have ever photographed holds a special place in my heart. Even if I’ve only had the privilege to photograph a family once, I remember them and I am grateful for that one time. However, the reality is that those families that have hired me over and over, well, they hold the dearest places in my heart. It is only natural that if I’ve been able to document your child for years and watched them grow, these families quickly become my favorites.
I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face. Don’t delay in photographing your kiddos. And more importantly, I beg you, do not neglect getting in the photographs with your child/children. And look, I’m preaching to the choir on this one…trust me, I’m as guilty as the next for not getting in the photos as much as one might expect a photographer to. But I will tell you that at least several times a year, I make certain that I get some really quality images of us together. While photographs are amazing at catching a glimpse and freezing time of what your child looks like and such, the most incredible photographs are those that radiate emotion and connection. And the connection between parent and child, in my opinion, is like the poster child for connection. hehe
I promise you…I’d be willing to bet like a million dollars on it, that years from now you will not regret images such as this. 😉
