It’s the 10th of October, so it’s time to share my 10 on 10 post. Every month, I participate in a blog circle with several other photographer friends and we all post 10 photos. Be sure to check out the next photographer’s link at the end of this post.
I’ve photographed a wedding on the beach. It was in Florida not in Texas. Most certainly the beaches in Florida prove to be a wee bit more desirable that what we have here in the Houston area. However, beggars can’t be choosers so even in good ole Galveston, Texas….there are some lovely photographs to be had. And while it is about location…isn’t photography most about the subject you are photographing?
In this case, we had two sisters. They were really fun and oh so very easy to photography. Their super awesome mom had an injured foot and yet braved the sad in her therapeutic boot in order for us to get some fun pics of her girls. This session was part of a beach shootout that myself and a few other photographer friends attended. We had a lot of fun and what I learned was that I need to photograph more families on the beach…hint, hint. 😉
My husband saw these pics and said…wow…those are nice but they don’t look like your traditional editing style. Well, so cool of him to notice and he is correct. Why is this? Well, I rarely shoot in full sun. And if I do, I try to keep my subjects in the shade. But at the beach, as you can imagine…that’s a little hard to do, unless I guess you have an umbrella….ha!
So as in these photographs, there was lots of sun rays and I just worked it in. What do you think?
