1st birthday milestones are so enjoyable! I’m sure most parents have mixed feelings about them. Sure, we are thrilled that our baby is growing up….we are loving all the learning that seems to be happening so quickly before our eyes. The first year offers some of the most drastic changes in such a short amount of time. Beautiful changes.
But with those changes, even though technically they are still babies, they are much less like the baby put into our arms the day they were born. From holding their head up on their own….to holding things…getting teeth….to rolling, first on their sides and eventually to their tummies….eating real food…babbling…oh the musical babbling (my fave!)…to sitting up by themselves…to pulling themselves up and then the glorious walking and into everything. hehe
The changes as fantastic as they are also bring a tad of bitter sweetness, but this is what we sign up for when we chose to become parents, I suppose, right? But rest assured it is all worth it, right? The beauty of parenthood. <3
