I just love happy babies! (I know, I know. Who DOESN’T love happy babies, right? But, seriously, it’s such an awesome experience to do a photo shoot with a cheerful, good-natured baby!) There are so many factors (hunger, poop, sleepiness, etc.) that affect the mood of any child at any given time, but some children do seem more inclined to have a happier disposition in general. (Of course, ALL of my clients’ children are 100% awesome though!) I certainly don’t think a smile should be plastered to the face of every person in every photo (and some of my favorites don’t include any smiles), but when smiles are genuine they are so lovely. Happiness isn’t about “saying CHEESE!”, it’s an overall sense of contentment that’s visible whether someone is smiling or not. (For some reason I’m reminded of the quote: “Happiness is like peeing in your pants. Everyone can see it but only you can feel its warmth.” 😛 )
This sweet little girl seems so happy and content! She is such a doll and a perfect subject to photograph!
