I feel it’s so important to have at least one large photograph displayed in your home. At least one. It’s not asking too much really. I am striving more and more these days to truly capture a feeling in my images. Although not all the photographs I take will speak to everyone, that’s okay. As long as they speak to me and the families whose photographs they are, to me, that is all that matters. When this mom contacted me about photographing her family in their new home, I was elated to say the least.
To be welcomed in ones home is such a privilege, especially when we’ve just met. To get to step into the most personal space of a family. To be given the opportunity to capture them in their element. The place of most comfort and likely some of the most memories. Well, it’s truly an honor. I had truly the most spectacular time with this family.
I can’t tell you how amazing they are and how gorgeous their home is. Not only visually, but gorgeous because of the overflowing love, joy and happiness you feel the moment you walk in the door.
