I had the privilege to photograph this sweet girl last year on her birthday….then this year when her baby brother was born and now to celebrate her 2nd birthday this year. Last year we did outdoor photographs, but this year we wanted some in her beautiful bedroom. This worked out perfectly because not only was it freezing cold outside the day of our session, it raining outside, too. Basically the worst possible weather conditions for outdoor photos AND indoor photos. Now, you would not know it from the photos that are shown her from this birthday girl’s session, but it was kinda dark in her room…darker than many photographers would venture to shoot in with only natural light…which means, without using a flash, or other artificial light source. To achieve this, one has to know what they are doing with their camera and the reality is that the equipment matters too. The camera that is being used must be able to handle a higher ISO setting and still render nicely colored images. I know…likely too much professional photo talk for most of you, but all I’m saying is that indoor images can be tough to do well, so be sure that if you are looking for indoor photographs of your family or child, make sure that the photographer you are hiring has a pretty good portfolio of images in different indoor settings. 😉 Which I think I do…so hire me. hehe. <3
What I love about this sweet girl is that she’ll give me an assortment of wonderful faces that showcase her personality. And I can’t think of anything better than showcasing your child’s personality in photographs for you.
