There is no denying it. I love wall collages! I mean, what’s more awesome than seeing your beautiful family in bright, colorful photographs decorating your walls and adding character to your home?!?! 😉 In my dream world, all of my clients would have at least one large wall display in their home. So you can imagine that it tickles me pink when clients want me to help them design a wall display. <3
Let’s say that you want to begin (‘begin’ being the important word here) a wall collage on your large stairway in your home. You want to have a starting point. A foundation where you can showcase some favorite photographs right now and then add to the collage as your family grows. And don’t stress out about filling the starter collage with photographs. Instead, place cool fabric OR special keepsake items in the frame/spot for the time being. Then, when you have just the right photos to add, you can do so. I would suggest starting the collage in the center of your staircase. That way, you can easily add frames and canvases at each end to grow your collage. Ideally, it will eventually span your entire staircase! I also have decided to add in some colored frames. I think it just softens the whole look. What do you think? 🙂
