I’ve been a little preoccupied these days.
This was me just a few weeks ago…a self portrait of my belly…
And basically right on his due date…yep, crazy…considering I (and my midwife) were pretty sure I would go over my due date…
our sweet baby boy, Nathaniel arrived more perfect than any mom could ask for.
I had the most wonderful birth experience in the comfort on our home (that’ right…an all natural, med free home birth) that could not have been possible without the most awesome midwife, Alice Brayer with Houston Birth Services and of course the most supportive, loving, encouraging husband ever shown here with our day old son….
As you can imagine there have been quite a few photographs documenting our baby boy’s life…by my, of course.
Here are just a few of my favorites from his first two weeks of life….
He was born on Father’s day, June 16th….
weighing in at a whopping 8lbs and 13oz…
with a larger than average head of 14.5 inches…hopefully is a sign of a big brain…hehe…
and full of the most beautiful strawberry hair…which he will likely despise, but I am sooooo thrilled about!!!…(you have no idea!!)
we could not ever have dreamed of making something so wonderful….
but we did….
and now our family is complete….
I plan to share my birth story at some point on the blog…so stay tuned.
