“The best times in life are usually random, unplanned and completely spontaneous.” ~Author Unknown
When you picture a newborn session, you probably imagine a very new baby who is either sleeping (giving sweet sleep smiles if we’re lucky 🙂 ) or looking slightly startled (but still adorable) while cuddled in a blanket or being held by various immediate family members. In most cases, you would typically be right. This newborn session took an unexpected and entertaining turn, however, when newborn baby brother needed a nursing break and energetic big sister wanted to jump on the bed! (Is there anything more tempting to a young child than a big, cozy bed just begging to be jumped on?!?! If not THE most tempting, I would definitely put it in the top five along with sweets, mud puddles, stairs and freshly raked leaves in a perfect pile.) Well I am all about spontaneous shots, so I said, “Okie dokie!” and started snapping! I can’t think of a single thing I would change about these shots. Her carefree spirit is on full display and so, SO beautiful! The day’s lesson: when looking for amazing shots, follow a child’s lead and indulge in a bit of fun and spontaneity!
