Sometimes the weather is not really our friend when it comings to photographs. And that’s okay. I welcome the challenge. On this particular day, not only was the wind completely crazy, the sun was coming and going. Add into the mix the most endearing child who as with most children her age, are marching to the beat of their own drum. This is one of the many reasons I love what I do! Look, while there is absolutely nothing wrong with the cliche, looking at the camera with the perfect smile shots…certainly I try to get at least one or two of those, but it is the many other faces that showcase YOUR child’s unique personality that I most enjoy capturing for you! In this case, this sweet girl was THE perfect subject. It took a little time for her to warm up to me….and her mom was so very gracious to allow me that time alone with her daughter I needed in order to get these photographs. This is also why I LOVE my clients. They feel the same way I do when it comes to capturing their child in photographs. We agree that REAL photos ARE the most perfect photos. The perfect photos can come in many different varieties. It might be the photo where your child is making the most silly face. Maybe it’s the photo showing a sad face…or a serious face. It is the photos that speak to you. The photos that remind you who your child really was at this age. What a beautiful message to your child as well…the message of celebrating being yourself. 🙂
