I struggled for some time to get my black and white processing just as I wanted it. And still, there are some images that take a little more time, but I’ve basically come up with two b&w processing styles that I like to use pretty consistently. One very important tip I can give is that to get a really nice black and white image (post processing, of course) is to first have a properly exposed and color corrected color image. One would like to think that it is easier to process b&w images. I used to think this as well, but now I know that processing a really nice b&w image takes more time because you need to get it right in color first. 🙂
I love both the color image and the b&w of this shot. However, I am favoring the b&w just a tad more right now.
What do you think? 🙂
