I love watching parents (especially first-time parents) with their newborn baby. There is always such a sense of fascination with this new, tiny creature they have created. “Can you believe we MADE this?!?!” “Seriously. We created him (or her).” “Isn’t it crazy that just a few days ago, he (or she) was living inside me?!?!” Those are just a few things new parents often feel and say when pondering the precious little life at which they can’t stop staring. Even though you knew you were pregnant (well, most people do…there are always the cases of “I didn’t know I was pregnant” and everyone is like, “How the heck do you NOT KNOW?!?!”…but I digress) and you had approximately nine months to prepare for this child’s arrival, it is still astonishing once your baby has been born and exists outside of you as this amazing miniature person. Looking at the pictures below, I see the love and fascination these parents are feeling for their adorable little one. At this very young age, there are no expectations for a baby…all he or she has to do is exist…and it is the most mesmerizing and captivating thing a parent can witness! There is simply no way to truly describe it, which is one reason why pictures of parents with their newborn are priceless! If you have a baby on the way, I would be thrilled to capture your family’s special moments within the first several days after birth!
