This little sweetheart slept like a dream, which made for a wonderful newborn photo shoot. Sleeping babies are amazing! How she stayed asleep through multiple costume changes is beyond me. Thankfully, as cute as they were, the outfits and props don’t outshine Miss L’s precious chubby cheeks (I just love them!). It is funny how babies are so cute with chubby cheeks, arm rolls, leg rolls, bald heads, receding hairlines, butt dimples…at what age do we stop celebrating those? That is certainly a discussion for another time! I love photographing people of all ages, shapes and sizes…variety is the spice of life! It makes each photo interesting and unique. How dull would it be if EVERY person, family and shot looked the same. If there is one thing I love, it is for people to be genuinely themselves…THAT is what I want to capture. Who knows what incredible personality this newborn will develop as she grows?!?! I hope to have the opportunity to find out by photographing her through the years, as I have with so many incredible children! That’s one of my favorite parts of my job! For now, in this moment, she is a precious, sleeping blessing with all the contentment and love in the world.
