Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved looking up through the leaves and branches of trees as the sun filters through them and creates beautiful rays of light. I remember many beautiful spring afternoons that I would lie on the ground, hands behind my head, fingers intertwined, and just stare at that magnificent effect. Sunlight and leaves are parts of nature that we often take for granted because they are always there…it’s just a normal part of life. The sun shines everywhere and there are trees everywhere; no big deal, right? But when you really stop to observe how brilliant and glorious each part of creation is, you will realize that even the smallest piece, each everyday thing that we may not think about, IS a big deal. The same can be said for pregnancy…it’s just a part of life that everyone who has ever lived has had some part in (even if you never have children, we were all our mother’s “baby bump”!). But each and every pregnancy is a LIFE…a new ray of light coming into the world…and it is magnificent!
