Sometimes clients have a specific idea or element which they especially desire in their photos. This lovely mommy-to-be really wanted some awesome “sunshine shots”. You know, pictures with the beautiful rays of light and gorgeous warmth that only natural, bright sunlight can create. I LOVE those kind of shots, so I was thrilled that she was looking to do something that’s right up my alley!
The only problem was that the days leading up to this session had been so dreary. Just “blah”, grey days when it seemed that the sun must have been hibernating behind the perpetually overcast clouds. Now, I actually enjoy that kind of weather, but it’s not conducive to productivity (all I want to do is cuddle up and read!). Even more detrimental to this particular photo shoot: it is impossible to take sunny pictures when there is no visible sun. So on the way to this couple’s property, with no sun in sight, I didn’t have much hope for getting some of the beautiful sunburst pictures that were so desired.
Imagine wow ecstatic we were when, about ten minutes after my arrival, it was as if the heavens opened, the clouds parted and brilliant, bright sunlight flooded the property! (In remembering it, I swear I heard “AHHHHH!” being sung by an unseen chorus! 😛 )
