Okay. So I’m just a few months behind on posting these pics. Better late than never right? ha!
This is my baby sister. I must tell you that on this particular day, on a whim, we decided to do maternity photographs. It was a very bright sunny day, but we only had a very short amount of time and so we just worked with the yummy, crazy bright light. We chose this tiny little park in my hometown for the session. I wanted some pics of her on the swing and also knew I wanted to incorporate this old, deserted building just behind the park.
Funny little story here. We were at my sister’s house, rummaging (literally) through her closet trying to find what we wanted her to wear. We literally picked out these outfits in about 5 minutes. Truth be known, when I pulled this red polkadot dress, my sister looked at me like I had completely lost my mind. Not only was the dress not maternity, it was pretty fitted on my sister before she was pregnant. However, I have a decent eye when it comes to such things and I had a good feeling that this little dress was going to be just perfect for the fun, flirty pics I had in mind. Admittedly, even as my sister was changing into this dress in the car, she had to fully trust me when I told her it was a go and that she looked so adorable. Not being able to see herself in the dress was very hard, but she had faith in me that I would not let her look anything other than her best.
The first dress is a great style of dress for maternity photographs. It’s so classic and the wrap style is extremely flattering to many body shapes during pregnancy. If you are considering maternity photos, for sure consider such a dress style.
The polkadot dress, well, it’s certainly not for everyone. It is short and a little revealing, but for this little series, it was just perfect, don’t you think? 🙂
