What do you think of when you hear the word “soft”? Kittens? Puppies? Fluffy blankets? Baby soft skin? Those are what come to mind for me, but I also think of soft colors. Light pinks, creams, blues, grays…basically the entire gorgeous nursery pictured below! I am absolutely in love with the entire soft color palette here, especially when combined with all the fabulous textures (that pink lace dress is AMAZING!). Such a beautiful nursery!
Even more beautiful than the nursery itself, however, is the love that these parents have for their precious little girl. As a new parent, it’s impossible not to be in awe of how tiny, perfect and soft your newborn is. Stroking their fuzzy baby hair and flawless skin is incredibly therapeutic and boosts oxytocin (“love hormone”) levels for both you and your baby. (Don’t even get me started on how awesome, beneficial and necessary skin-to-skin contact is for mother-baby, as well as father-baby, bonding!) Isn’t it strange and wonderful to think that we were all once so tiny and soft, and were cuddled by someone who was in awe of us?!?!
