I love action shots! Not like “action movie style man walking toward the camera away from a grand explosion” kind of action shots (although they have their place, I’m sure), but real action shots of real people interacting naturally with each other. Not posed, not forced…just being themselves with the ones they love. I love the natural laughter and smiles – the ones that don’t come from saying, “Cheese!” I love little kids running and jumping and swinging and LIVING and just having fun! I love the looks of adoration and amusement that parents have only for their children. I love capturing expressions that come only when one doesn’t feel as if they’re being watched. Perfectly candid shots are my absolute favorite. Most of all, I love photographing life as it happens and as it is rather than trying to turn it into something it isn’t. Life isn’t in the poses, it’s in the action that happens in between. That’s what I want my pictures to reflect. (Of course I’m not above posed pictures, but I do love the action shots!)
