If we don’t rise to the challenge of our capacity to shape our lives, to seek the kinds of growth that we find individually fulfilling,
then we can have no security: we will live in a world of sham, in which our selves are determined by the will of others,
in which we will be constantly buffeted and increasingly isolated by the changes round us. — Nena O’Neil
Never say never or you will eventually, in most cases eat your words. I said I would never photograph a wedding. Well, I recently had the pleasure of scarfing down MY words. Ha! This time they actually tasted pretty good. My friend Stan, who I’ve known since like 2001 from a Sunday school class, is also a very talented photographer and his real love is videography. He specializes in weddings and events. Please check out his website here: http://stanbyme.net/ Anyway, he recently needed my assistance as a 2nd shooter at a wedding he was hired to shoot. I won’t bore you with the wave of emotions and nervousness I had for this event. But all the nerves quickly faded as the day progressed. What I loved most about this wedding was how much was centered on Christ. If ever there was a first official wedding for me to photograph, this one was a true God send. It was such a pleasure to be able to share in the day with this bride and groom that just shine with the love of Jesus Christ, for Him and also for each other. Who knew that my photographing a wedding would be such an encouragement for me, as a child of God and a photographer? God is so good. Here is just a sneak peak of the some of the photographs I took of the day.
