  • I like to think I catch the divine in the ordinary using natural light and everyday settings. My style is pretty simple. It’s a dab of traditional studio (for my youngest clients) mixed with modern lifestyle portraiture. Candid shots are my favorite. I want to capture your child’s spirit and personality, even if that's not a traditional smile. Kid's are my specialty, but also enjoy capturing the entire family, from newborns to high school seniors. I shoot on location in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. I'm from a small East Texas town and have hippy-like tendencies. After college, I ventured to the city, which is now 'home' and includes my husband and our doggies. Faith, family, friends, food, fashion and fabrics consume my mind when the shutter is not clicking. Custom photography is a luxury, but I promise it will be worth every penny. I look forward to sharing my love of photography with you and your family! {photo credit to urban grey photography}

My Life | North Houston Photographer

It’s 50 degrees out today.  Better light the fireplace, baby it’s cold outside.  Okay, I know what you are thinking, but we are in Texas.  HA! Today was bath day at our house.  Baths are not so fun especially when you have almost constant matted, tangled hair, but it’s a small price to pay when…

My 52 week Challenge

Without getting too sentimental or way too personal, I’ve decide to challenge myself to one personal photo each week for the entire year.  I want to document my life as more of a photo journal.  Really more for myself than anything else.  I want to grow in being able to capture the moment in more…

Cocoa and the Cow | Houston Photographer

Who needs a dog bed when you have my nephew’s new cow chair?  he-he!  My dog, Cocoa, loves soft things and this little chair was everything soft and beyond.  Good thing my nephew was preoccupied with all his other toys.  I could not resist a few shots of my little Cocoa as she made herself…

My Own | Pet Photography Houston

Our little mut, Cocoa, whose hair we are letting grow out.  When it’s down like this it make me SO very happy when I look at her.  I’ve never let her ‘bangs’ get so long.  (It was my husband who convinced me actually)  As much as I love it down like this,  I have been…

My Own | Pet Photographer Houston

Just a fun post in honor of my little Cocoa, who used to actually be brown, hence the name Cocoa.  Over the course of time, she has actually turned quite white haired, which I think it just quite odd, actually.  I’ll have to find an old photo of her another day to show you that…

Sad Day | Houston Pet Photographer

Yesterday we found out that our 15 year old has canine diabetes.  As bad as she was two days ago, we’re just happy she is still with us.  Without boring you with all the details, we really thought this was it and that we might lose her soon.  We are thanking God for giving us…

Me: Kitten Nurse | Houston Pet Photographer

Let me preface by saying that I am not really a cat person.  However, I do have a big heart for animals and feel each creature is God’s creation and should always be treated with respect and dignity…okay, every creature with the exception of the mosquito, of which I have and will continue to lay…

Noble | Pet Photographer Woodlands

This sweetie was super fun to photograph.  It likely helps that her parents owners are so exquisite.  Kudos to Miss Aggie (yep, that’s her name) keepers for being such amazing assistants during our session.  I just love this shot.  She just looks so noble and beautiful.

Dexter, the dog | Pet Photography Houston

I would not call myself an official ‘pet’ photographer, but I do love animals, particularly dogs.  It was just a lazy Sunday afternoon, hanging out at my cousin Laura’s place and I could not resist taking a few shots of her one true love (at least for now) her dog, Dexter.   Is he handsome or…
